I’m Leslie Denton Roach, and by day, I manage internal communications for a municipal government. Outside of my 9-to-5, I’m passionate about creating whimsical ceramics—everything from fairy houses and toad homes to bee baths, mugs, and vases. I hold a BFA in Painting from Texas A&M – Corpus Christi, where I took my first ceramics class. My favorite part of the process is discovering new techniques and methods, always with an experimental mindset. I love blending other artistic disciplines, like painting and printmaking, into my ceramics to keep my work fresh and dynamic.
When I’m not at the wheel, I’m a proud mom to twin teenagers who are just starting to drive (yikes!), who are musically inclined, and my son, who is working toward a chemistry degree. I’m also happily married and supported by my bike-riding enthusiast husband. My work is a reflection of my curiosity and joy in the world around me, and I’m always excited to see where my creativity takes me next.
